Latrobe City Stadium

Opened in 1981 Latrobe City Stadium was once home to the Morwell Falcons who participated in the National Soccer League. The venue is now home to the Gippsland Soccer League club Falcons 2000 who are an offshoot club from the Morwell Falcons, or as they were last known as Eastern Pride.
It is a magnificent stadium and is located to the North or Morwell, far away from the once busy town that now seems like a ghost town when driving through.
The A-League has visited once when Melbourne Heart hosted Wellington Phoenix but a far less than a capacity crowd made the effort with only approx. 3000 people in attendance for a venue that holds approx. 12,000.
The Gippsland Soccer League was once based here. Latrobe Valley Soccer League currently host their Grand Finals along with the Cup Finals at this venue.
